Mingoo Yoon

Mingoo Yoon studied visual communication design and earned a master’s degree from ECAL in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he conducted research on bi-script type design for Hangeul and Latin. He worked as a researcher and type designer at AG Typography Institute and taught type design and typography at Hongik University and Ewha Womans University. He has released original typefaces including YMG Yoonseul Batang (2017), YMG Blanc (2018), and YMG Munche Gothic (2025), and has developed custom typefaces for clients such as YouTube, Gentle Monster, Tamburins, Songeun Art and Cultural Foundation, and Eulyoo Publishing Company. He also collaborates with international foundries including Dinamo, Lineto, and Displaay. He served as a design advisor for Korean title typography on Netflix, and contributed to Korean and CJK projects for Google and Adobe. His work has been exhibited at Typojanchi: International Typography Biennale (2015, 2019) and is included in the collections of the National Hangeul Museum and Die Neue Sammlung in Munich.
Jieun Kim

Jieun Kim studied visual communication design at Konkuk University and began her career as a designer at AG Typography Institute. She released YMG Blanc in 2018 and Noir, her original display typeface, in 2025. Her work was featured at Typojanchi: International Typography Biennale in 2015 and 2019. At YMG Type Foundry, she has led numerous long-term projects including ABC Favorit Hangul, ABC Whyte Hangul, YouTube Sans KR, and Eulyoo1945. Her current research focuses on developing brand-specific typefaces optimized for increasingly diverse display and mobile environments.

Min-Young Kim

Min-Young Kim is a trilingual typographer and researcher specializing in CJK-Latin typography. After completing her Master’s degree at Musashino Art University on history & modern usages of CJK-Latin multiscript typesetting, Min developed her career as a type project manager at Japanese type foundries: Morisawa and Fontworks. In 2020, she became independent and founded Studio Em Dash, focusing on multiscript type development and typography consultancy. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Reading, and teaching Typography at Musashino Art University since 2025.

Sohyun Park

Sohyun Park is a design planner and editor. She graduated from the Department of Art Studies at Hongik University and earned her master’s degree in Visual Communication Design from the same institution. As a planner in the design division at AhnGraphics, she worked on Amorepacific’s corporate typefaces, including Arita Dotum, Arita Buri, and Arita Sans. As a senior researcher at the AG Typography Institute, she also led the development of the Jogye Order’s Seokbo typeface. She conducted research for Shinsegae Department Store’s proprietary typeface and developed its “Modern Heritage” concept, and served as the lead planner and editor for issues 12 and 13 of the T, a typography magazine published by Yoon Design Group.
